Grow Vegetables Indoors
I just love putting Bird Baths and Bird Feeders all over my yard so I can watch the birds flit from one to the other while I'm outside gardening. The kids just love seeing all the little garden figurines that I put throughout my garden. Each statue has a special story that I tell about it that inspired me to get it for my garden. My grand kids say they love to visit grandmas garden because it is such special magical place to meander around in. Some of them have favorite garden statues that I got on their birthdays that they feel are there very own and will never forget. I am sure that someday when they have kids of their own they will bring them here and delight in showing them their special statue next to a fragrant flower. I have even put statues in memory of my dear departed pets.
Taking the time out to smell the roses and all the other flowers in your garden and breath in that great smell of fresh cut grass will make you feel alive and makes all the hard work out in the yard worthwhile. Savor the sights and sounds of spring time as it all goes by too quickly. Put your plants in early so you can enjoy them all summer long. And you can never have too many garden elves and gnomes - give each of them a name!
Bird Baths and Bird Feeders are so important if you are a nature and bird lover. Squirrels love seeds too and will go out of their way to get to your bird seed so you need to get the type of bird feeder that they can't get into that is unless you like feeding squirrels. If they aren't a problem around your house then by all means just get those cute wooden bird feeders but here in Florida where we hang ours on the maple trees near the house so we can see them the squirrels are quite prolific and ingenious when it comes to finding ways to get into our bird feeders. The only ones we can keep a close enough eye on that they won't go near are those hanging right in front of us on the front porch. They would not dare get that close but maybe they do when we aren't around.
