You can never have too many shade trees here in Florida and I have found these fast growing trees to grow well just about anywhere. Of course be sure to make sure they are meant for your growing area. If you take good care of them and fertilize and water them alot right after you get them they will grow very fast and you will be very happy with the results. Be sure to plant them so they have plenty of room to grow. I sometimes get carried away planting things and forget to do this myself and end up having to move plants around when they get bigger which happens quite quickly in the sunny weather here in Florida.

You can even start your fruit trees in pots indoors so they will be really ready when the ground is softer for digging. If you live in a colder climate just grow them indoors in pots until you can plant them outside. I have even started 10 avocado seeds in pots and am going to get them get to be about 4 feet tall before planting them outside. Even in Florida we have to protect the more tropical plants from freezing by bringing them indoors or covering them up in the winter. It takes a little extra care to do that but after they get big enough they can take lower temperatures. We do that with our orchids as well and always bring them in when it gets below 40 degrees.
