Zoysia Farms Lawns
Here in Florida we plant mostly St. Augustine or Bahia grass but you can take your chances with these new hybrid grasses and see if they can take the heat. When you want new grass here you usually call in a sod company to lay new sod for you - they remove the old grass and put down all new sod. I have thrown rye out in my yard in the winter to get it to turn green but rye can't handle the heat. If you do decide to seed your lawn down south in the winter it is cheaper to get a construction contractors mix of seed. I have been tempted to try that grassology stuff I keep seeing advertised on TV. One time I tried using weed killer on my lawn and it killed so much of the weeds I had no lawn left - apparently most of my lawn was weeds - that was years ago and since then most of my lawn is now St. Augustine.
